Rick's Hobbies & Aquaria is owned by Shelley & Rick Lewis and opened in downtown Renfrew on July 11 2002.
After 20 years in the high technology industry as a quality manager and engineer Rick decided to open a retail store in his hometown.
As an avid model railroader as well as a aquarium enthusiast it was an obvious choice on what the business would be - hobbies & aquaria
Within a few months Rick would go on to add a reptile department, and pond supplies as they are areas we enjoy.
Three years to the day on July 11/05, Rick held a grand opening of a second location in the historic town of Carleton Place, Ontario.
Four years to the day on July 11/06 Rick opened another location in the City of Pembroke Ontario.
What Rick's has to offer that many stores don't is genuine interest in the products being sold, as well as an interest in the customer developing and enjoying thier hobby. At Rick's it's not about making a sale, it's about supporting your hobby.

From Ottawa - West on highway 417 past Arnprior continuing on Hwy17 to Renfrew. Turn left at Obrien rd.and proceed to downtown Renfrew. Obrien rd will lead to Raglan st. Rick's Hobbies & Aqauria will be on the right hand side near the post office and Scotia bank
From Pembroke - East on hwy. 17 to Renfrew, turn right at the Bruce st. exit. Follow to the set of lights at Wendy's restaurant, turn left and proceed to Raglan (downtown) Rick's Hobbies & Aqauria will be on the left about half way up the mainstreet. (193 Raglan st.)

Directions To Rick's! (Pembroke)
From Renfrew - Take Highway 17 west - turn right at Greenwood Rd (1rst Pembroke exit). Greenwood rd. becomes Pembroke st. as you enter the city. Turn right on Howard St. at lights just past Macdonalds restaurant. Rick's is on the left.
From Petawawa - Start out going SOUTHEAST on PETAWAWA BLVD / CR-51 toward PORTAGE RD. Continue to follow CR-51. CR-51 becomes PEMBROKE ST W. Turn LEFT onto HOWARD ST.
